Happy New Year!

I hope this finds you all happy, healthy, and not too hungover! I had a grand plan for some end-of-year blogging. I even made a list and everything. Then my laptop battery and adapter quit at the same time. So while I waited for the fine people at Dell to send replacements no blogging got done. Boo.

But maybe that's a good thing. I like the idea of starting fresh with this blog in a new year. My day-to-day involvement with Kickette came to an end in December when we put the blog on "hiatus." I had three great years of writing with some really talented girls and helped create one of the most unique online communities for soccer fans and I will always be proud of that. I also learned how to do this whole blogging thing! I'm happy that I'll have more time to dedicate to my own writing, but I will miss Kickette a lot.

I don't really make New Year's resolutions, but I absolutely want to try and make this blog as good as it can be. That includes a redesign, a URL purchase, and hopefully a regular editorial calendar. I just hope I stay as motivated and available as I am right now! Keep your fingers crossed.

I have a great feeling that 2013 will be a fantastic year!
